Sikhs why there was a need to devise jathka to please your taste buds?

Im sick of religions as it's just a tool for man these days to do whatever you want. Even we Sikhs when our guru clearly commanded to not to eat kutha which literally means to slay but not ritual slaughter but we misinterpreted for our benefits. How many Sikhs have protested and wrote to akal thakat to modify the same? or protested at Hazoor sahib where still those killings takes place?
