Is it normal to love your best friend (girl) like this?

Alright, so basically I'm not sure if i like my best friend or not. We're both girls. So she always holds my hand and interlocks fingers with me, she really likes to spoon with me when doing we're bored or whatever, she plays with my hair, and a lot of stuff like that. She's really pretty and adorable and I can't help but feel attracted to her. She likes this one guy and he likes her back so I feel kinda jealous, but i'm not sure if I'm just protective over her like it's a motherly instinct or something like that. I would literally do anything for her just to see her smile. I love it when she puts her head on my shoulder and just kinda snuggles with me :) I really wish I could just lay with her forever. But once again, I really don't know if it's normal since she's my best friend and all, and I can't stand being away from her. So what do you think?
